Why can’t I just take 2 pills at once?

I’m on a blood thinner that states to take twice daily. I usually end up forgetting one of the two. So why can’t I just take them both at the same time?

There is a half life on the drugs. Which is how long it would stay in your system. If you’re taking two at once you could be thinning your blood more than recommended, also not having the 24 hr coverage that’s needed. Twice daily because it would “wear down” 12 hr later. So you’re doubling your coverage, risking yourself, then turning around and not giving your body what the dr is recommending

Because they are prob 12 hours active and need to be 24 hours, so there why spaced out.
Be consistent. When you wake up and when you go to bed. If you hibitually take it at the same time, you won’t forget

Usually you take it twice daily so it will be in your system for 24 hrs. This means that each pill lasts approx 12 hrs and as it dissolves it enters your blood stream. If you take 2 at once, you are 1. Making your blood too thin because you took twice as much as you should and 2. Not keeping it thin enough for the rest of the 12 hrs in the day. If you thin your blood too much your at risk for bleeding even without injury- for example a lot of blood thinners are tough on the stomach and you can get a ulcer and bleed a lot, enough to need a blood transfusion. Also if your blood isn't thin enough (for example the 12 hrs you aren't getting the pill because you didn't take them correctly) your at risk for a blood clot in your legs or lungs or brain etc. If you have a clot in your legs you could actually need an amputation as a worst case scenario. In your brain = stroke. Lungs= very dangerous. You need to take your pills as you were told to take them. If you're forgetful you need to set an alarm. Get a phone case that has a pocket and sick your pills in there if you can. Or just put them somewhere you won't forget - for example by your lamp on your night table so you take one in the morning and one at night etc. Its really important to take them as you were told, I can't stress this enough

Why can’t i take all 28 of my birth control pills the day after my period? 
If you want your drugs to be the safest possible and the most effective just do what you’re supposed to do. Set a fucking alarm or tell your doctor you’re too irresponsible to take it.
