Need some advice

This is my third pregnancy and I am 100% positive it is my last. I have thought about getting my tubes tied but nervous because I have heard horrible stories about it making your period worse and how some people can still get pregnant years later. My husband said he looked into getting a vasectomy but heard it's a chance it can cause erectile dysfunction so now he's not sure. I don't care too much being on the pill and scared to try iud, etc. Do any of you ladies have any experience with tubal ligation or certain birth control? Yes we could use condoms, but it failed me this is how I'm pregnant with number 3.
