Question

Person #1: Puts political stickers on their property (car or property). What it says is irrelevant so long as it's controversial. A MAGA sticker, a Bernie sticker, abortion stances, race issues, etc. Could be either side
Person #2 Goes out of their way to destroy property of person #1 because they don't agree with it. Maybe they stole a flag out of their yard. Maybe they covered the pro-choice bumper sticker with a pro-life sticker.

Personally, I respect your property and expect you to respect mine. If you want to display your values, whatever. Touch my car and I'll automatically assume you're trying to steal it/damage it.

If someone has such a visceral reaction to seeing something they disagree with that they NEED to destroy it and effectively silence that persons voice, that’s some next level intolerance. It doesn’t matter which side it’s coming from

I don’t think what the sticker, etc. stands for could be irrelevant.  If it threatens someone and causes a retaliation, that’s relevant.
Violence can be done through language and symbols...not only in destruction of property.  And I’m not sure how we’ve come to a point where property is more cared for/valued than people’s safety?  A certain type of sticker could be just as threatening to someone’s safety as someone removing the sticker.
So, depending on what the sticker/flag stands for, which imo is certainly relevant, both.

Both are stupid. I have no problem with people showing their siding of a controversial issue but it is just that a controversial issue so retaliation is pretty much to be expected. I'm not saying people should remove/cover/destroy/steal someone else property either. That being said some cheap controversial materilistic thing being stolen/destroyed isn't worth being butthurt over especially again since it is common and should be expected. Just like people who have stuff stolen from their car but leave valuable stuff in the car with it unlocked like yea it was wrong and shouldn't happen but you should know better and set yourself up for it.
I live in a white trash town who is mostly conservative/republicans who still support Trump. Both sides bitch about having their signs stolen etc. When in reality it is normally just teens who don't care about politics either way. I personally just think it is waste of material/money that is just going to end up in the landfill soon anyhow. Yard signs/flags especially for the presidency are really just a waste they change no ones mind/vote they just cause more unnecessary controversy.

While I think that bumper stickers are awful in general, don't touch other people's property. It's really that simple.
As another commenter said, if you have such an explosive reaction to something that you disagree with that you feel the need to remove or destroy something of that dors not belong to you, then that's a YOU problem and YOU should probably get some help.

I'm neither!! I would never damage my car or property for a stupid sticker and I would never damage anyone else's car or property!

We live on our boss' property. We take care of his property. He supports a different candidate than we do. He asked us to hang a flag for his candidate. We did so. Even though we disagree. Because he's the boss. We got a lot of dirty looks while doing so. Few weeks later, a car pulls up, guy hops out, runs up, rips the flag down, jumped back in the car with the flag, and sped off. Boss chuckled about it. Retaliated by having us go down to the elections office to purchase 10 big flags and 20 little yard flags. Tasked us with setting them up along the front edge of the property. Along with about 15 "no trespassing" and "private property" signs. Again. Lots of dirty looks as we put these up. Not us folks, it's the boss. He said if anyone messes with these ones, he wants us to go back to the elections office and buy double the amount. 
Now obviously even if we disagree with him, it's his property and his choice. The guy who ripped down the first flag was being jerk. He came onto private property and stole someone else's property. But boss was also being a jerk when he decided to go "all out" with it. For a long while I was concerned we'd have people coming here harassing us because of it. We have nothing to do with it other than doing what our boss asked us to do. I still don't really feel safe having all that out there. It's been a few months now and no one has messed with anything though. Just want election night to come and go so we can take it all down again.
