Question about mucus plug

Hi guys I have question about the mucus plug with my son I have experienced odor no have gone through but because no was induced at 32 weeks so with my second pregnancy same complaint with the second pregnancy they first aid I was going to be induced 37 weeks and due the baby measuring small and the umbilical cord something was elevated and after twice a weeks monitoring they said because big the baby weight was good I will be induced 39 weeks I’m currently 37 weeks and 4 days now so yesterday I had appointment they said now not 39 weeks want me to deliver earlier my original due date is November 15 so today I experienced a lost mucus plug at first I was scared jelly like substance fist then little brown discharge and then like clump of it and my contractions was on and off since day before yesterday its been the whole on a off sometimes intense and then goes away doesn’t completely going away the pain then it comes bk sometimes light contractions but like every second so now that I have lost the mucus plug I’m confused do I get checked in the hospital do I go or wait ? What do I look out for ?
