Lease?

My husband and I are both on the lease but we are splitting up, he is in the military and is leaving in a month to Hawaii, my question is If i still want to stay at the apartment without him there is that fine? Our lease is due to end at the end of january but i wanted to renew the lease? He’s always mentioning taking his name off the lease which is fine.. I just wanna be able to still stay there.
