Birthing Plan???
I'm having a bit of anxiety lately, especially about giving birth. This is my first time giving birth and I am a little overwhelmed about the birth plan. When do I start to make it? Should take some classes? I know what I want for myself because I work with tiny babies for my job and I have so many stories from the moms I work with. I love hearing about their experiences and it helps me feel less afraid of the laboring but I'm still scared. I mean, I'm going to be pushing a whole human out of a small hole in my body! I want to be prepared and I'm doing a lot of research on my own, but my OB hasn't even talked about making a plan yet and I'm getting nervous that they don't talk about it all and I'll be on my own to figure out what to do.
Am I just over thinking this, or will they discuss my options with me at some point? I haven't had my anatomy scan yet, it's next week so hopefully I will talk to someone then.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer this hot mess of a mama. 💕
