Not telling

Ok, let me start by saying that I'm not pregnant yet, but I do have a question for those who are.

My husband and I have experienced multiple miscarriages but doctors believe that if we get pregnant again, it will be healthy. We have both decided that if it happens, we want to enjoy it as just us and our daughter. We have talked about only telling our parents and siblings halfway through and then not telling anyone else until after the baby would be born. Has anymore here ever done that? How did you handle the people who were upset or hurt by not knowing sooner?
