Hey ladies. I need advice on how to repair a potentially broken relationship immediately!! Last year I entered a relationship with a man I met on Hinge. He’s 43 and I’m 47. We have two teenagers. My son is 17 and his daughter is 18. We introduced them to one another about 5 months into our relationship. They really hit it off. One thing that instantly bonded them is that his daughter was learning Korean on duolingo and we, who are Korean, were delighted when she spoke to us in it. They also attend the same school. My boyfriend and I were convinced they would develop a strong sibling bond. Three days ago, my boyfriend and his son were over visiting. My boyfriend and I wanted to go have a fun adult night out if you get what I mean. We told our kids we were going to a restaurant (Actually went to a hotel) and to watch my younger child (5yo daughter) while we were gone. We got back home a couple of hours later at night time and hear floor creaking from upstairs. We went upstairs and I knocked on my son’s door repeatedly. A couple of moments later he opens the door with just shorts on and my boyfriend’s daughter is clearly hiding under the blanket. My boyfriend ordered his daughter to leave with him now and I nearly slapped my son. I screamed at him because he was supposed to be watching his sister and he told me that they tucked her in an hour ago. I said “Regardless what the hell did you guys think you were doing? You disrespected my roof and you disrespected our relationship and the both of you are way too young for what you just fucking did” and I was rambling and fussing about having to take him to a doctor now to get tested for STDs since he’s decided he wants to be sexually active. I told my son I’m so extremely disappointed in him. I asked him if he even thought to save it for someone actually he sees himself with in the future. I told him to put some clothes on then I left his room angrily. I called my boyfriend and their was so much sadness in both of our voices. We thought they had developed a sibling bond. My boyfriend told me that he planned on proposing this month but now he doesn’t know if he should. I burst with tears when I heard him say that. He apologized and told me he needs a minute to process things. I said I understand. Today, I messaged him but he did not message back. Then I called, but he did not return it. I feel sick and confused and sad. My selfish son has really ruined this and I’m so upset because this is the first time in a decade that I’ve found actual love. I don’t know what to do to get him back.
