Has any one experienced cholestasis?

I am having really itchy skin more at night ! And I don’t know what to do I read about it online and I am hoping it’s not that but what if it is

I have had it. If nothing works for the itching such as antihistamines and creams, then it could very well be. It took me 3 tests over the course of 3 months to finally get diagnosed. The itching for me was unbearable and I knew what I was going through was not normal. I finally went to the ER one night because I couldn’t take the itching anymore and hadn’t slept in weeks. That’s when I finally got diagnosed. My recommendation is that even if they say you’re negative, if you keep itching keep asking them to retest. I had the itching since 20 weeks or even before and I didnt diagnosed until 31 weeks. But you have to be induced early so make sure to be your own advocate if your itching doesn’t stop. Also keep an eye out for dark urine and pale colored poop. Those were also red flags for me. I never had dark urine before that.

I had it with my last baby. They’ll check your levels and start you on medication. They checked my levels once or twice a week until my liver failed at 36 weeks. I had an emergency c-section. They usually wait until 37 weeks to deliver. I have a healthy 2.5 year old now.
