Quitting the binky

How many rough nights did your LO have when you quit the pacifier?

My 17 month old has been sick & congested for a few days and since he couldn’t suck on his binkies he chewed holes in them instead 🙄 He destroyed his final binky yesterday and last night sucked, but I’m figuring this is as good a time as any to get rid of it (his illness has mostly passed so I’m not torturing him by taking it while he’s already miserable). I’m wondering how long I can expect this to be hard for him.
