I tried to prepare my daughter because she's getting to the age where everyone is going through puberty and I told her about sexual assault and about defending herself. I got called into the Dean's office this morning and my daughter had slapped a boy in the face. I wanted to hear from her what happened and there was this boy in class that she didn't like because he was annoying. He tapped her on the shoulder and said some stupid pick up line like "Do you want to hold something;my hand". So she slapped him, and my 11 year old says in front of the Dean " I did what you told me to do". I did NOT tell her slap someone over cheesy pick up lines! Have any parents had that, where the child misunderstood what you meant and said in front of a person sais YOU told them to do it. Holy fuck! She got a three day suspension and I'm hoping that boys mom doesn't press charges, so I'm having her write an apology letter and now I'm gonna have go over in better detail about self defense 🤦‍♀️.
