Hemorrhoids or something else

Since I had my baby 2 years ago I’ve always had a bump near the end of my anus. I showed it to my ob and she def said it was a hemorrhoid. It usually gets larger the more hormonal I am for example around my period. Sometimes I have minor rectal building but it’s never painful, until now.

Lately in that area I’ve been having what feels like a open cut, itching and burning all the time not just when I use the bathroom. I’m on my period so I do have blood and while I think it’s in both directions it’s hard to tell as much. I also just used the bathroom and it’s not normal bm came out maroon color.

My regular dr has said she’s unsure if it’s a hemorrhoid or tear off the symptoms. She prescribed a cream and says if it doesn’t get better it’s probably a tear and I need lidocaine instead .

I’m just nervous that it’s bowel cancer or rectal cancer. I had a colonoscopy 4 years ago and will be scheduling my follow up this year.

I’m just wondering for people who experienced hemorrhoids that my symptoms sound like it. If not I’ll be pushing to get into my gi sooner.
