i’ve honestly been considering getting a cup instead of tampons but i’m really nervous cause there’s so many types and sizes and it seems like a struggle to get it out and clean it. like what if i’m in public and it fills up?

I have a mooncup and it took me just a few tries to get used to it. Whenever I need to change it in public I make sure I have a water bottle with me, preferably the one with the sportscap so you can squirt the water out. It's really not that big of a deal. I love the cup it's so much more convenient and saves money too.

The sizes are mainly about the capacity you want them to hold and your cervix position during your period. There are some you can empty through the stem instead of removing/re-inserting but if on the odd occasion you really do need to empty it in a public rest room it’s not much different to changing a tampon really, although you will need to wipe your cup with toilet paper or there are cup wipes.
