Worried about moving and changing things again
My family and I moved to a new city for a better life and career. My husband and I both have jobs but his has more room for improvement and progression whereas mine is basically dead end as I am unqualified for everything but brings in the money. We have finally saved enough to buy our own home which we have, and will be moving but the commute to work is going to be 20 miles each way, plus further as I have to take my child to school then pick him up. We are renting and houses to buy down where we are at the moment are absolutely extortionate we just can't afford it but we also don't want to rent anymore. We want our own home. When we moved I had to sort out school, childminder to pick up and work hours but now I have to do that all over again when I move. Just the thought of travelling nearly 50 miles every day just to work in a dead end job, 5 hours a day kills me. What would you do? Would you leave your job and look for one, which means we will lose a lot of income while I look or stick to driving miles on end every day and keep looking til I find a new job nearby?
