Has anyone had a planned induction?

I am looking for advice and to hear about your experience! This is will be my second birth, and my midwife has offered me an option that I had never even considered. 
She has suggested I go in to hospital on my due date, get my epidural and then get induced and have my baby. This is her pain free solution to my birth, as last time no one could tell (except for me) that I was in labour until a head poped out 🙃

I will be induced this time around at 39 weeks. I went to 41+3 in my last pregnancy before spontaneous labor. I believe in the health benefits of leaving baby in as long as possible, but unfortunately have a medical complication this time around.

I haven't...I maybe having one this time BUT both previous labours have been 28 hours and there is a VERY HIGH chance that being induced makes that time alot longer, adding in an epidural which also makes it longer due to not being able to walk around ect. I know a lot more people that ended up in hospital 5ish days before having the baby than those that had a straight forward induction 😬

My second was a planned induction. It went well and I was only in labor for 6 hours. I did like being able to be 100% ready for her arrival but I still would prefer to go into labor on my own this time.

I had a planned induction with my first. I think if the cord hadn’t been wrapped around his neck a couple of times it would’ve gone perfectly, but I stalled for hours at a 7 and had to start pushing at 9 because we were both starting to get a fever and my son was in distress.

Why is this an option and what would be the benefits?

I have had 2 planned inductions. Both went smoothly. First took 24 hours, the second took 12 hours. I am kinda hoping they offer me that option again, but I am not sure they will.

I was induced with both of my previous pregnancies the first one took longer and I pushed for an hour the second one was sooo fast I went in at 6 am started pitocin at 7 am they broke my water at 10 am I only pushed twice and came at 11:20am so less then 6 hours of labor

Yes, I’ve e had two previous planned inductions and I have one planned for January 17th
