Age regression is just that, age regression. Ddlg is usually seen as a kink because people sexualize it and bring it into th bedroom. It could be either way, just depends on the person.

It’s always sfw as the age regressor is in a real childlike mindset. It can be both involuntary and voluntary. I’m apart of this community

Age regression is a coping mechanism mainly used by people with mental illnesses where we go into a literal headspace of a younger age (mainly kid, toddler, and/or baby) and is never sexual in any way 
DDLG aka age play is a kink where you basically role-play as a kid, baby, or toddler for sex
