Head down at 28 weeks?

Question

I had a growth ultrasound today and baby is measuring 2lb11oz, and the tech and doctor both said baby was definitely head down. Is it normal for babies to flip head down this early and is there a good chance she may flip to breech at some point?
This is my first pregnancy and I really don’t want a c-section.

Both of my babies were head down at 20 and 30 week ultrasounds and then went transverse at 34 weeks.
Since they both did this I have no doubt that it was that they couldn’t fit into my pelvis as they got bigger.
My son never went back head down after that and I had a c-section.  My daughter did end up going back head down and I had a vbac.
This is very uncommon, you should be totally fine! Only 3 percent of babies are breech.

Per my OB - baby still have a lot.of apace to move around and change position. They don't reach their final position until 34-6+ weeks. But most babies do make their way head down. 
... unless you have any risk factors I'd say not to think too much about it. Babies do what they want lol, I know mine does at least.

My son had his head in my pelvis the ENTIRE
TIME.  The couldn’t get an accurate head measurement during the anatomy scan because he wouldn’t move.  
I felt like he was going to just come out at any point my whole pregnancy 😳.

Yes. First babies usually flip down very early. Baby might still move around, but likely will turn back down if that happens. Second and third babies are a little more risk taking lol. 
My first was head down at every single ultrasound from the very start of the pregnancy till the very end. My second was the exact opposite. Always flipping and jumping around like a little crazy monkey. Even during labour she was still turning up and down during contractions as she never fully engaged 🤦🏻‍♀️ (that felt horrendous btw). 
I had emergency csections with both of them, not related to their positions though. 
Hopefully you don't need one,but being breech isn't really the main reason for csections.

My boy was head down at 28 weeks. He stayed there the entire time. He came naturally 1 week overdue!
