Back labor?

Hannah

Okay so I am set to go in to start the induction process on December 6th and I’ll officially be induced the morning of the 7th. Last week I started feeling like heaviness and cramps. It was kind of like when you’re about to start your period pain. Yesterday I had to be monitored at the hospital for four hours because of his heart rate dropping once on the heart rate monitor. When I was signing the papers to leave the OB nurse told me that my contractions were nothing to worry about and I was so confused. I asked her if I was having contractions and she said yes a few here and there. I thought baby was just getting into position and that’s what these pains were? I went home and then going to bed last night I had those same pains but more consistent and I’d have random little sharp shooting pain up my mid stomach area. I woke up this morning and my back is still aching and I’ve been feeling little twinges off and on. With my previous miscarriage in January I had back labor mostly. Could I be getting back labor again and not even realize it? I wasn’t only 8 weeks when I miscarried so I know that contractions with a full term baby will be 100% different but I’m not sure how different. I also know that just because I’m feeling back cramping doesn’t mean I’m having contractions. Any other woman on here labor mostly in her back? This will be my first full term birth.
