Baby mama issues

So my S/O and I have been together for a year now and we have had so many ups and downs but lately his ex partner is giving him a hard time and I just don’t know what I should do because I really love this man and want to make him a daddy and bring back his happiness back after going through such a hard time with spending thousand upon thousands to have 20% custody of his now 3 year old son. I feel like if he keeps putting all his anger on me and put me on block I am going to give up.
