25 Weeks, possible COVID.
Hi mommas, just needed a safe place to not sound insane and get some advice. Last week the facility I work at had a couple positive cases in Management. This isn’t too unusual, we’ve had a case or two here and there, but it has not spread to the floor aids or nurses, or any residents (at that time.) I worked Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday this past week, all 12&1/2 hours each day. Monday I felt a little weird and yucky, but being pregnant and working a few days in a row like that sometimes is all it is. Now we are on Wednesday, I still have a sore throat and a mild cough here and there. Headache too, but that part could be due to pregnancy or course. I wasn’t too concerned until my Mother text me Monday morning (she is an RN at the same facility) saying she had tested positive. She had been sick the entire previous week. On top of that, one of my coworkers that I had worked with all weekend also tested positive, and was showing symptoms, too. They decided not to rapid test her until Monday because she had no fever. As of yesterday 28 residents and 8 staff that we know of have tested positive. Get that number straight.. 36 people that we KNOW of in a facility where it was never a problem all, now are COVID-19 positive. The place is a mess right now and I have not been scheduled to work yet, but today I am going to get a rapid test just in case. Am I over reacting?
