My fiancé and his dad never has anything nice to say. My mom & I don’t really talk due to the fact she got married and lived a new life. & my dad doesn’t communicate because I’m a secret to his new family. Today we were talking about Christmas & the names on the gifts. My father n law decided to yell out “I see why your mom doesn’t like you” ... then they proceeded to talk about my dad, he’s from Mexico & my mom is from Texas. Basically they said my dad only got my mom pregnant and had me for a green card . Idk why but my feelings got instantly hurt . After we left I started bawling my eyes out , because basically I feel like parents do hate me and they know that. & I didn’t expect for somebody that I trusted to say that. My fiancé laughed it off as a joke. Was I wrong for being overly emotional ?
