Low progesterone ?

I had my test last cycle and it came back at 5 . My dr had put me on letrozole but not progesterone too ...if I get pregnant this cycle and I test my progesterone and itslow isn’t it already too late so save my current pregnancy ?

My Dr has me letrozole days 5-9 and then progesterone days 16-28

You can still get pregnant and save the pregnancy with taking progesterone. There a lot of women who have got pregnant with that low of progesterone and was able to sub stain a pregnancy but for many others it usually ends in miscarriage. You should start progesterone right after confirmed ovulation.

I was under the impression that if ur progesterone is low the egg cannot attach to the uterus ?

If you are not pregnant why would they need to put you on progesterone now? I was put on progesterone when I was pregnant not before😊

They might see how you do with the medication first. Sometimes thats enough to bring your progesterone up so they'll test you at 7dpo again and see if you need it. It wouldn't be too late. 
My first medicated cycle, I didnt need progesterone but every other one since, I needed it so then my dr started me on it 3dpo.

Most doctors have you start progesterone at 3dpo. Call your doctor and ask!
