I’ll be honest most the time cats won’t even be bothered to mess with baby bc they don’t care for them 😂😂 but a simple no and correction of the issue typically helps.

I had to pick one to comment lol. I’d say just lock your cats in a room or close you bedroom door. Cats are very active at night (I have 1 myself) who jumps on everything & everyone. I wouldn’t trust to put anything over the packnplay or bassinet as it could fall on the baby without you even knowing. I personally just wouldn’t trust the cats, my baby is more important.

Pull your bassinet out now and put something on top so they don’t do in. By the time t he baby comes they probably won’t even try to go in it. Mine was more interested in looking in at the baby. 
Now the crib they kept going after and into, but I didn’t have the matress so the wire support really freaked them out

We set up the bassinet ahead of time and I just payed tin foil in it. One cat attempted to lay in there once, never again after that. Same thing with the pack n play in the living room, except that didn’t work as long. We just kept our bedroom door closed until baby was in her own room. Yes, one cat would cry (we have 3), but that’s just how it is. 
Baby is 11.5 months and we’ve only had one incident of a cat jumping into her crib while she was sleeping (like 3 weeks ago). We just keep her door closed while she is sleeping now. 
We still find cats on the changing table often, but that is manageable

Set the bassinet up now and cover it with aluminum foil. Most cats hate aluminum foil. I put it all over my first’s playpen a few weeks before he was born, both my cats climbed on it once and never again.
