Grooming???

Question

Do you bring your dogs to a professional groomers, and how often? Or at least, how often do you bath them yourselves? 
We've always just given our lab a hose bath when she gets gross in the spring and summer because we've always been told to not to do it often. I've been thinking, maybe she needs it more often to help with her crazy shedding? 
Just want to see y'alls opinions.

Also, you are right about not bathing them too often. It is not good for them to be bathed often. My shepherds only get bathed about 2x a year (even with playing outside on our farm). Our golden needs it a little more often because his fur is very fine.  But a lab should not be bathed often.

my aunt washes her dogs herself, about once a month or if they get into a big mess during a walk. she bring them to the groomer every couple of months for a haircut though. i usually take my cat to the groomers every month for a trim/blow dry and a wash. rather she hate them than me lol.

I have a schnauzer so i take her for a full haircut every 6 weeks, bathe her myself every 2 weeks, and brush her down once a day

No, I brush and bathe myself. And on occasion trim up their fur around their toes and on the back of their legs. I have a German shepherd, a golden retriever, and an Australian shepherd.

I do both. I like taking her to the salon now and then to see her other human friends but mostly I do it myself in our bath tub let her air dry due to saving money. But once in the fall and once in the spring I pay for a furminator at the local Petsmart where they do her ears, anal gland’s, feet hair trim, and then the bath and 30 minutes of brushing for loose hair.
