Do you think pets know when you’re in labor?

My dogs have been extra lovey and wanting to be by me more more as i approach the end of my pregnancy. 
Do you think pets know youre about to go into labor before you do?

I think some pets have that intuition.
My dog however, does not 
He ignores me quite often. 
He’s a special one.

Your body is pumping out all kinds of hormones, which in turn increases/changes your pheromones, which animals can smell a lot better than humans so they know that something is happening to you physically. They can also pick up on your behaviors - are you anxious, "nesting", giddy, exhausted, etc. And are able to process that in their own way.
I think that animals are smarter than we generally give them credit for, but I don't think their thought process is "Oh, Mom's pregnant, there's going to be a new tiny human here soon." But more like "Mom is acting weird. Should I be acting weird too? Does she seem to need comfort, or should I take a step back?"

My dog was super annoyed that I disturbed his peace when I went into labor. It was too early for him I guess

I was laying in bed during early labor and my dog sat completely still in the doorway the whole time. It was like 3 hours. He doesn’t ever do any guard dog type stuff like that. He definitely knew

My dog was clingy af but she was heavily pregnant with me. Idk if she tried telling me I was in labor or if she was telling me she was about to or both cause our first morning after coming home from the hospital she had her pups. 🥴
