Sleep regression??!

Question

Is anyone else’s 19m old in a major regression? He won’t let us put him down and will scream. We’ve started sleep training all over again which is hell, especially at an older age!

Yes 😭 he wakes up every morning at 3 and if I don’t bring him into bed with me he will cry for two hours...I’m drowning in tiredness

We had some trouble around 18 months, where naps were a struggle and we had more night wakings. I gave up on naps for the day a few times, or went for a drive instead of insisting on crib sleep. Things are back on track now, though, after discovering that our kiddos total sleep needs are on the lower end of normal, so that 3 hour naps (when he had them) naturally led to less than 11 hours of sleep overnight. 
Is the kiddo well fed before nap time? Had some wind-down time? Not too tired (5-6 hours since last sleep) or too alert? You have your pre-sleep routine set? Then, they’ll just have to get used to it again! Ugh, the whole thing does suck, though. 
Something that helped me is to remember that it can take about 5 days for the consequences of a poor night or poor nap to work itself out. So in the meantime, you just do your best and hope for a more consistent schedule will emerge.

My son did this last month at 18 months. He fought and refused naps but I still made him rest in his crib to keep the routine. He wasn't happy being rocked to sleep nor was he happy just being laid down in his crib. It's just a phase. Just try to stick with your normal routine as much as you can.

Mine has been fighting her one nap so hard!!!! It’s been a nightmare. But she’s still sleeping 7-7 so I can’t complain there. I completely gave up trying to get her to nap today, it was such a battle and I lost 😫
