Take it slow

Ladddddiiiiiiesss I need advice I’ve never been good at taking things slow and obviously that hasn’t ended so well (and by that I mean hopping into a relationship not in bed) but there is this guy and he seems to have everything I’m looking for buuut I do want to take things slow and get to know him better I am a single mom and I do want to make sure I’m not making a mistake. He’s a gentleman, loves kids and is always cheering me on and we have a lot of the same values but I’ve always bumped into “good guys” that turn out to be dicks or like my last relationship “no show dad” so any tips advice on taking it slow and what to look out for would be very much appreciated
