My boyfriend and I have been debating this..... I think it’s weird personally and why wouldn’t you want to spend your kids first Christmas with your new family.... also, they’re 30 years old....

Fuck that shit. Sorry for being so blunt but if he didn't want to be around our baby the first Christmas then he got to go. I would be straight forward with him. Sounds shady of him to want to be away for Christmas instead of being with his family.

Nah. Let him but he won’t have a “little family to return to. My SO and I became parents at 21. We stopped spending special occasions with friends. If friends wanted to come over and spend holidays with us, that’s fine. When you become a parent it’s no longer about you. You gave that up when you became a parent. Now it’s about putting your child(ren) first.
