Cute bf post! (Sorry long post)

Anyone else have significant others who pretend to not like certain animals but accidentally lets slip out that they secretly like them? For my bf this is cats. Hes SUPER allergic to cats. And because of this, he says, “Cats are a-holes. I’m glad I don’t have one.” Yea, sure mister. I don’t own a cat but I love them. My favorites are the black cats with green eyes because they remind me of Salem from Sabrina. My bf’s neighborhood has this outdoor cat named Plume who is just the sweetest. She’s very friendly. Every time I went to his house, she would be sitting in someone’s driveway, waiting to be pet. We never figured out who she belonged to. At first, my bf would just come outside and stand in the drive way and ignore her as she meowed at him. Then it turned into him talking to her as she rubbed against his legs. Then one day, I pulled into his lot to see him with a 5 foot long back scratcher, petting her with it. I asked him how he felt about her and he said, “She’s...whatever. If I don’t pet her, she’ll keep meowing.” Ok.😂 Eventually, when he would mow the lawn she would follow him. When he went out to take care of the garden, he would put on long sleeves and gloves so he could pet her and talk to her while he worked. They would do this for hours. One day, we went to pet smart and he bought a can of tuna. I asked him what it was for and he said, “Well...I kinda built Plume a cat house in my neighborhood and she’s been looking kinda skinny. It’s no big deal and it’s nothing fancy, just a box with a hole in it.” Their visits went from once a month to every day. The back scratcher became shorter and shorter. I joked, “Yhats your cat now.” He said, “A very dangerous pet. One that could kill me.” I looked at the ball of fur in his lap with the big green eyes, being pet by a gloved and duck taped hand and said, “Yea, she’s a real threat to you.”
