Doctor pulling back babies foreskin!?

So everytime we go to the doctor, she pulls my sons foreskin all the way down to examine. But I know you aren’t supposed to do that? It doesn’t seem to bother him but it make me anxious. Are they supposed to do this and why?? He’s 5 months old now

Nooooo. Absolutely not. She needs to educate herself on the current recommendations for uncircumcised infants. My sons pediatricians has never pulled back on his foreskin. It can raise the chances of infection and it can hurt the baby. I would ask her why she thinks it’s appropriate to go against the current recommendations and to stop immediately. If she does not, I would seek a new doctor right away.

If he's uncircumcised, that's the first I've ever heard of a doctor doing that. I always heard and read it didn't detach until closer to 10 or 11 years. What she did would only make sense if he was circumcised and she was pulling back that little wrinkle of skin chubby guys have and making sure it healed properly.
