Healthcare Worker, Pregnant... COVID Vaccine?

Question

Reaching out to any PREGNANT healthcare workers... With the COVID-19 vaccine being available in the coming weeks (or already has been dependent on your workplace), will you be getting the vaccine? 
I have done all of the reading from ACOG and CDC. Im just trying to find out if I'm the only one struggling with this decision. My OB is confident with me getting the vaccine. I do have a couple comorbidities that make me more susceptible to more severe COVID symptoms. 
Thoughts? And if you haven't done all the research, don't comment out of ignorance. I've been frequently exposed to COVID as a healthcare worker and just want to be safe. This is a tough decision for any expecting Mom to make. ❤️

I’m in the same boat. I work in the icu and have gone back and forthwith this decision. My OB suggests getting the vaccine. I spoke with my best friend who works L&D, and she talked with the docs on her unit and all of them are for it as well. I am signing up to get mine during our next round 👍🏼

I am a healthcare worker and pregnant and turned it down because I don’t feel comfortable getting it yet. I am waiting until after baby is born. I’ve also already had covid while pregnant so I have some antibodies in me.

I am high risk and my doctors have all advised against it. 
They’ve gotten it themselves but are not recommending it to their pregnant or breastfeeding patients. There no research during pregnancy. They just think since it’s kind of like the flu vaccine that it’ll be okay. That’s not enough info for me tbh. They’ve also said covid was like the flu but I’d rather have the flu.

I deferred mine for now. Luckily for me, whenever I’m ready I can go ahead and schedule my appt to receive it. I have an appt with my OB on Thursday and will be discussing it further with her, but I think I may just hold off until after she’s born in April. It’s definitely a tough decision. I have a friend who got hers around 24 weeks pregnant. I think all is well with her, but not 100% sure.

You have to weigh the risk or COVID (and it’s unknown long term effects and risk of complication during pregnancy) vs the risk of the vaccine. The vaccine seems to be safe during pregnancy (there are no vaccine parts in it only a code that teaches your system how to build the spike protein by itself and build immunity to it) but as far as research goes, there still isn’t enough published data because no IRB would approve the participation of pregnant women during trials but as more and more women take it now, we’ll have data soon.
The country I live in are not giving it during pregnancy (until more data becomes available) and they say that during breastfeeding, it’s based on risk vs benefit.
If I had the choice and I was working in a high risk department in an area with outbreaks, I’d probably opt to take it but for now, I have my choice and I’m working mostly virtual and it’s not so bad as the US over here. I will definitely take it after delivery.

I’m a nurses assistant and I usually go for the vaccines (flu etc) but I don’t think I’ll be getting this one :( I’m quite the worry wart though.

🧏‍♀️ Pregnant healthcare worker. I personally will not be getting the vaccine while pregnant. I am almost 35 weeks so not sure I want to get it this late into my pregnancy. Will re-evaluate after the baby and do some research on the vaccine and breastfeeding.
