Need a little ego boost...

Kendra

Back story on myself, it’s been a few years since I’ve been in a serious relationship. Since then I’ve dated quite a bit, but haven’t reached anything serious and when I get close the guys always pull away. I have an anxious attachment style. Meaning, a type of insecure attachment style rooted in a fear of abandonment and an insecurity of being underappreciated. Im currently working on this with a therapist, and I’ve gotten a lot better, but it’s still hard to break. Something I noticed is I tend to use sex as a way of connecting, and that’s a habit even harder to break...

So I’ve been dating this guy for a little over a month now, not official yet, and in that time I had COVID (al healthy now) and couldn’t see him for several weeks. Bless his heart, he entertained me throughout my quarantine and we FaceTimed and spoke daily. Finally got to see him for New Years, had a great time but I think I overstayed my welcome... a second time. The first time I came to his place I ended up staying the night and sleeping with him, but that didn’t change his attitude towards me, even though he was surprised I stayed. He did however made it very clear he was interested in me. This time I stayed the night as he was expecting but then I asked to stay another night. He obliged and seemed happy I stayed, but I felt as though I overstayed my welcome again and I worry I’m sending very needy messages. I was quarantined and stuck at home for so long I just wanted more time away, and to spend more time with him. Nevertheless it was selfish of me and I feel bad about it.... We had sex quite a bit, but did a lot of other fun activities and I was able to meet his grandparents, whom he’s very close with. He did say before I left we should hangout again, maybe go snowboarding on the mountain.

I’m just crazy in my head rn... I’m trying to reassure myself but it’s hard. I REALLY don’t want to fuck this one up, but I feel like I already am.
