BV?? Cheating?!?!?

So I went to the doctor and had my baby about 7 months ago. I’ve noticed something had been off like I’ve had an off smell. My boyfriend hasn’t said anything but I decide to talk to my doctor about it because I can smell it and I’ve never had that issue. Well turns out I have BV. I’ve had the same partner for 2 years and have gotten tested and everything. Well I told my boyfriend that I had BV and we can’t have sex till I finish the antibiotics. And I asked if he ever noticed the smell he said yes. I asked why didn’t he say anything I thought it was just me. Well he asks me why I decided to get checked out now. What kind of question is that. And he’s like well how did you get and giving me weird looks. Long story short he thinks I’m cheating pretty sure. This is the first time in my life I’ve gotten BV. Can you help me put it into simple words so he can understand I guess.
