Can birthcontrol cause yeast infections?

Hello ladies! Since October 2020, i have been having an annoying yeast infection. I have spoken to a doctor avout it in December, to which they just prescribed me a medication and told me to speak with an obgyn. I spoke with an obgyn and they told me i just had to take the medication and that its common to have it as pms. But what they didnt hear is that i have been having it after my period all the way up to a few days before my period and its frustrating me!

I have asked if it could be birthcontrol and they told me that its very unlikely. But after doing some research I fee that birthcontrol is the most likely! I take Sprintec and i have seen some ladies conplain about it.

Rhe prescription they offered me helped lessen the itchiness of the yeast infection but its still here. I cant take monistat bc i have a bad allergy reaction to it.

For more info, i qm a 23 year old. I am very clean i shower every day, i do not douche. I am not diabetic and have no stds. Also there is slim chance of me being pregnant, but that is very unlikely since i cannot recall the last time i had sex before my last period.

Please help. I do not know if its bc of birthcontrol or not. Also i do have another appoibtment with an obgyn for a papsmear on the 29th, which i will for sure bring it up to her. Are there any other remedies for yeast infections? Help
