How long does the bleeding last ? Placenta previa

How long did you bleed after being diagnosed with complete placenta previa? I started bleeding gushes and clots of blood January 3rd and was finally diagnosed with it on January 6th , it’s been two days and I’m still bleeding while on bed rest , only brown spotting though. Just curious as to how long the bleeding lasts? The doctor told me as long as my placenta doesn’t move from off of my cervix I should be fine but after looking on the app seeing that some women have had there’s move back to normal ... I’m a little confused now ..
