Teenage daughter detests new baby name!

My daughter was an only child for 17 years due to an undiagnosed condition that caused miscarriages. We finally got our 2nd baby at the end of 2019 and I’m now about to give birth again to baby girl no 3.

The problem I’ve got is I’ve always loved the name Elsie.

Last time DH wasn’t struck on it snd we would discuss names for hours the 3 of us (our dd, dh &i) but we all Have very different taste in names. Dh more traditional dd modern.

In the end dd came up with a modern name that meant Miracle. And it’s Lovely. Considering we waited so long for her it fitted perfectly.

Trouble is this time DH has pretty much agreed I can name this baby Elsie he can choose the 2nd name. My daughter is usually very mature but literally descends into flood of tears saying it’s awful and she can’t stand it. The last time we spoke about it I got really upset. After all the years of heartache I’m finally getting the family I dreamed of. Dd named our eldest. Dd named 2nd so it’s only right I finally get to use the name I’ve had for years. But I don’t want to use it if it’s going to cause major upset abs take the shine off bringing baby home.

Help!!
