Period is 9 days late

I am not on birth control and my period is 9 days late. When my boyfriend and I have sex, he always pulls out but I am getting worried. I have taken a test which said negative, but it could just be too soon to give a positive read. If I don’t get it by January 21 (which will mark 6 weeks since my last period) I plan on testing again. Basically I am just wondering if I should be worried yet? Has this happened to anyone else where their period is late but the comes on later in the month? 🥺
