need a person

i’ve decided i’m gonna no go farther in my sports career and i’ve told my mom. After years and years of being in love with the sport i’m finally just wanna be done and i no longer wanna go to college for it. when i told my mom she just said i was lazy and got extremely mad at me even tho i have a job and make my own money. I decided not to speak to her till i calm down but has anyone ever gone through this if so can you please tell me how you dealt with the disappointment
