Toddler bed????

When did you start to try this?! Nervous! He also sleeps in a crib in my bedroom still.

We were having sleep issues months ago. He would climb out of the crib the cry until we came. We had to put a child proof on the inside of the doorknob and we ended up just opening the crib up so he could go and come. Since opening it he’s never slept in it. I’ll put him in the crib walk out he’ll follow whine and lay up against the bed room door and sleeps there. He’ll kick the door or wall. I have down a mattress close by but he still sleeps on the carpet. I don’t know when or if he’ll ever sleep in the crib. 😔

We co sleep but we transitioned the crib to a toddler bed right at one year and she takes naps in it just fine.

We moved our daughter and to a full size bed at 12m and have had zero issues she took right to it. 
*And no one panic her room is not 77degrees  (heat rises) that is 3-4 degrees higher than the level she’s at... we live in update NY

I moved my son into toddler bed once he was climbing out of his crib even with it in the lowest position which was at about 18 months. 
My daughter that is now 21 months still loves being in her crib so there she is staying lol

We brought my newborn daughter home last week and my son decided that’s when he wanted to climb out of his crib 🤦🏻‍♀️ We are doing a mattress on the floor. He does really well once he’s asleep, but the transition to get him to lay down has been rough (I’m sure also has to do with his baby sister coming home). 
Hopefully he will figure it out soon! Poor buddy has had a lot of changes.

Last week we set up her big girl bed. So far she likes it. But still wakes during the night. I say success seeing as we strictly did co-sleeping till now.

My first we moved into a toddler bed when he was this age, 20 months, because we moved and I didn’t want to put the side on the crib. Worked out really well, no issues really. We had a bumper on the side because he fell out a couple times.
This baby has actually never been in a crib, he’s had a floor bed since he was 6 months old, and that’s been great. He very rarely gets off his bed to play or anything, when he wakes up first he just lays there and waits for us. His room is safe if he wanted to get up though, and I always have the camera on so I can see and hear him.

My sons room is a Montessori room and never had a crib. We have a full bed on the floor so he can easily crawl in and out of bed and he only has toys in his room that are not electronic or that can hurt him. Also have a baby gate blocking his door so he can't open his door and roam around. He does really well with it and puts himself to sleep and when he wakes up he gets up and reads books to himself until someone comes to get him. Obviously have a baby camera to see everything he is doing (:

We moved him into a toddler bed in September and it’s gone pretty well but he does get out then bang on the door in the mornings 😂
