Why are people buying everything out at stores again?

Idk if its just around me but paper towels and toilet paper is running low again. Am I missing out on something?

Some people fear a national black out, shutdown, riots or other issues related to the political climate and transition of power. Personally, I'm not panic buying anything.

Because people think the US is on the brink of civil war. Instead of trying to remedy the situation, they buy all the toilet paper. Here’s a thought: if you don’t want civil war, practice kindness. It’s okay to disagree. But sitting around saying you want peace and unity, while still insulting whatever side you aren’t on...does not encourage peace and unity.

I mean, we just moved into a bigger place with more bathrooms and I keep each one stocked with a current case and a backup case because I have space and fucking hate carrying crap in when it’s snowing, so I stock up when it’s decent weather. But I doubt my 6 24 packs did that much damage 🤷🏼‍♀️

I haven't noticed anything running low more than usual since the pandemic started. Costco over the weekend was really low on Charmin but had pallets and pallets of regular toilet paper.
