Would you quit

I applied for a job. Got hired. Worked non stop crazy for like 3 weeks.

Then it i started getting sent home. Like showing up to work for 8AM and being told they didn't need me today. It didn't bother me until the fourth time that happened. I was really nice. I just asked my boss to let me know if he could ahead of time - even if its the same morning whatever!

He said no problem and that he needed me the next day.

I came in. Worked. Then he said he would let me know about tomorrow. Fine. He told me nope dont need you. Fine!

Since then we've had Christmas break and all. He said come in January 2nd. I did. Got sent home. Said he would reach out when they needed me back.

I reach out once a week (trying not to overstep and annoy him but I cant just not say anything right?!)

Doesn't need me. Not today. I'll let you know. These are the replies I get.

It is January 13th today. The last day I worked was December 18th. (January 2nd doesn't count because I was sent home within half an hour of being there).

Should I quit? Keep touching base? I'm a little annoyed haha. I mean I started with the verbal agreement of 4-6 days a week. I know these are uncertain times. So I did expect cut hours as in 2-3 days instead of 5-6. But I have ZERO.
