DOES ANYONE RECOGNIZE THIS MAN?

My mother in laws best friend is caught in some wild lies and will not believe that she is being romantically scammed. This is the only photo of the man she was given which we know is not the man she's talking to. She's asking around for $6k and we think it's to send to him! This is the only photo she has of him. I wish I could knock her upside her head because she's acting like a complete idiot.
