Hard time stooling during 1st trimester?

I have a hard time stooling and when I do it’s so little and I’m SOOOO bloated I look like 4 months pregnant.... uhh

My OB recommended switching to a gummy prenatal vitamin when I mentioned constipation because the normal pill ones have added iron which can cause constipation which can already be a problem due to the digestive muscles relaxing during pregnancy. I switched and she was right it’s much better now.

It doesn’t get better. You can also take senokot instead of miralax or colace or dulcolax. But honestly even with those it’s super frustrating especially if you have to take anything like extra iron (if you are anemic) or zofran (for morning sickness) or makena/progesterone. I have to do all 3. I’m 37 weeks tomorrow and the constipation struggle is real and I can’t wait to be done with all of these medications so I can freaking go.

It’s normal in the first trimester try taking miralax , milk of magnesia , or colace they will help as well as eating oatmeal and drink apple juice or prune juice. You need to eat things with fiber such as fruits and veggies as well! Also drink a ton of water it will help with your digestive track. Good luck
