VBAC after failure to progress?

Long story short I was induced with my 1st baby and after 18’hrs of labor I wouldn’t dilate past a 5 so ended up doing a Csection. Going back I wish I would’ve waited for my body to go into labor. Has anyone ever had a successful VBAC after failure to progress or arrest of dilation?

I had 2 vbacs after my first being c-section for failure to progress. My first vbac I went into labour on my own. My second I had a membrane strip and I am now attempting my 3rd vbac.

This happened to me. I had a c-section with my first baby for arrest of labor/failure to progress (at 9cm for 2 days with water broke, never got to 10cm). I had a successful VBAC 2.5 years later. My 3rd baby was a vaginal birth as well and I’m going to vagina delivery with the 4th one I’m carrying now. You can do it!

My story is very similar but I was induced after 42 weeks so I really couldn’t safely wait any longer to go into labor naturally. Arrested at a 5, had a section around 18 hours after induction started.

Same here! I didn’t go past 6cm in 50 hrs!! My water broke and so after 24 hrs it was time to get baby out. Not pregnant yet, but if it happens hoping for a VBAC as well. Good luck!!

I am wondering this as well, as it sounds like we had a very similar birthing experience. I even waited a week after he was due and my body still wouldn’t progress. I would guess as long as we didn’t have any complications during the csection and recovery went well I think we’d be a normal case. I’m crossing my fingers!!
