No Contractions, needing advice!

So I’m 36 weeks pregnant and I have not had any Braxton Hicks contractions at all. I have no idea what to expect.

I’m trying for a VBAC this is my second child. My doctor will not induce so he’s hoping I go into labor anytime in the next two weeks on my own or I’ll have to do a cesarean.

Has anyone else went without contractions & then suddenly went into labor? Or did you atleast know you were gonna go into labor or that your water was gonna break?

I’m losing quite a bit of clear mucus everyday for the past week or so. Not quite sure if that’s all part of my mucus plug or not because there’s just so much of it daily.
