Are pack and plays safe for sleep??

I recently purchased a pack and play, I did however I purchase more expensive one just to be on safe side. My question is it safe for baby to nap in pack and play or is crib the best option. Baby is 7 months. My fear is baby like to roll on side while sleep and sometimes on belly and the pack and play have the mesh netting. Also I’m just starting a routing where I want other baby to nap in pack in play or crib but my other fear is baby won’t sleep in there and will just wake up and will not get any naps during the day. Currently baby is use to letting nap on boppy pillow but because baby moves that is no longer possible. So I continue use boppy pillow and just sit there and watch nap. Or let nap in pack and play and just deal with baby not actually napping during nap times. Ladies I’m a new parent and still figuring this sleep thing out.
