Potty Training a 20mo?

I started at 16mo. She peed ONCE in the baby potty so great when I took her first thing in the morning and hasn’t peed in it since. So it’s for decoration lol
I’ve tried everything to get her to go in it again. She takes the insert plastic part out and plays with it lol I’ve tried books, screen time, with diaper without. How did y’all do it?! Are y’all even doing it? I’m expecting a baby in July and would like SOME guidance on how to move her along but I’m also content with her learning after two..... it would be easier before though lol

Mine is interested in the potty, he asks to sit on it after he pees/poops in his diaper. So he’s trying to figure it out and I’m trying to facilitate that by sitting him on the potty when he asks. I am not in any kind of hurry to get through potty training tbh. With my first we first attempted at this age because he was interested but it did not work out at all, he ended up hating the potty for a long while. So I’m not wanting to push this one into anything, I’ll let him tell me when he’s ready. After the initial fiasco with our first we waited until he was 100% ready, which ended up being when he was 3.5 and it was an absolute breeze then.

I Plan on starting around 2.5
I am also due with a baby in April and want to make sure I can devote the time and make it fun.
We have a potty chair, we have potty books, also I have been reading "Oh Crap Method." But my son has really no interest in sitting on the potty but flushing it and taking out the insert.

I started in early December because my daughter was telling me every time she peed or pooped in her diaper. I did no undies at all for about 2 weeks around the house. It was easier to get her on the potty quickly. She still has bad days or accidents but she’s young. Most days she’s great and has no accidents. I’m expecting my 2 years old for her to become more independent about it (pulling her own pants and undies down and up). 
I gave high fives as a reward because that’s all she wanted. My oldest wasn’t potty trained until 2 1/2. He wasn’t motivated by anything so what worked for him was telling him he had to stand on the step stool and couldn’t come down until he peed in the toilet. He peed in the toilet once and was potty trained with almost no accidents.
Try to read your kids reaction and reward with what they enjoy. 
My sisters kids all were motivated to use the potty to get “potty beans” (jelly beans).

We did a naked day yesterday and by the end of the day she was afraid to pee because of the feeling. Also did not want to sit on the potty AT ALL.  Baby 2 coming in April and we gave it a break today and I’ll wait until I know she loves sitting on the darn thing.

I started around 1 year old, now (20 months) he's only in diapers at night and sometimes wakes up dry and car rides for any accidents.  I started with EC (elimination communicatio) she has both a instagram and facebook account.  But basically you do as you said first in the morning and then watch for her tell tale signs (my guy starts to get squirmy) and not asking if she'd like to go just say were going to go and sit her down. If there's an missed one go to the potty. No big deal no shame type of thing, although my guy tends to yell yay regardless. Haha.  I'm expecting in April and will start ECing right from day one next time :)
