Anyone else happy??

Question

Is anyone else happy if they haven't gained weight yet? I'm 6w6d and have been maintaining my weight. Because I'm overweight I am only supposed to gain 15 pounds, so it makes me very happy that I haven't gained anything yet.

I didn’t gain weight my whole last pregnancy, minus the baby weight  (I didn’t need to gain any additional weight). And this pregnancy I’m starting at a lower weight and I haven’t gained anything yet! 🙌🏻

I only gained 5 actual pounds my first pregnancy. The rest was from swelling and preeclampsia. I started at 186 and the day I gave birth I was 225. After 24+ hours of a constant drip of fluid expelling medication, I was back at 191. 3 weeks later I was 167. I stopped losing at 155. Hopefully, minus the preeclampsia I can do the same this time around.

I understand the anxiety around weight. I have obesity myself,masked now by the fact I had gastric bypass. But my first pregnancy I started at 285lbs. I didn't do a good job at not gaining. I got put on insulin at 13 weeks and my hunger got way out if control at that point. I gained 45 but lost 35 pretty easily after when I came off the insulin/postpartum. But anyways, my point was just that I understand the anxiety around it. I hated having to track my weight during the pregnancy. You're doing an amazing job so far :) pm me if you ever want to vent about it, or are just having anxiety related to appointments etc.

A lot of women tend to maintain their weight until they reach the 2nd trimester. I personally haven't gained anything yet and according to my BMI, I'm "obese". However most people who look at me would just think I'm curvy. My husband is always like, there's no way lol. But I agree, I've been really trying to watch what I'm eating and get at least 150 minutes of exercise every week. Im not to the morning sickness phase yet, so we will see if I can keep it all up. Congrats on your pregnancy and keep it up, you seem to be really conscious for both you and your baby and that's great for a healthy mom and baby at the time of delivery! Keep doing what your doing 🥰

I’d actually prefer to gain because then it means I won’t be puking my guts out the whole time.  I started my third pregnancy at 140.  At 20 weeks, I was down to 114, delivered at 136.  By the time he was 2 months old I was 105 lbs 🤦‍♀️
Starting this one at 118 and hoping to end in the 135-145 range
