What did you do to decrease time in labor?

Wondering what helped the most for people to have faster deliveries. I'm starting to make my birth plan and I have no clue what I want 😂 I'm all for more pain if it speeds things along. I tend to get really sick when I don't get enough sleep.

Eat 6 dates a day starting at 36 weeks. I swear.

As for the 6 dates goes,be sure that 6 is for small dates.if you have the medjool dates (the large ones) then it’s only 3.
In general you have to eat 70gr of dates

I drank buckets of raspberry leaf tea and choked down those disgusting dates each day and neither did anything so I'm taking a pass this time round.

Nothing I naturally have fast labours which is good in one sense but I’m the other it’s more painful 😂

When labour wasn’t progressing I took a nice jet bath and went from 3cm to 8 in 45 minutes :)

My first labor was 36 hours total. Second was 6 hours. Didn’t do anything different except that my water naturally broke the second time. I Had an epidural both times too

I got the epidural for this reason! I knew I needed to be able to get some rest so that I was able to give it my all for pushing.
I really believed that walking really helped strengthen my pelvic floor muscles and helped me deliver.  I only had to push for 30 minutes.
Literally all you need to know for delivery is push with your abs not your butt lol.  This was the extent of research I did.  My doctor even said “whatever your doing, keep doing it”

Im reading a few books right now to prepare for a vbac and the two biggest things that ive taken from most of them are that a change in your environment, a lack of confidence in your body’s abilities, and changes in mindset (taking your attention from your body to answer stupid questions or to have a conversation) are some of the biggest ways you can stop your progression

Drinking raspberry leaf tea for the last month of pregnancy its said to help shorten labour all the first labours in my family have been very long but mine was only 10 hours 2 hours active labour
