Constant Food Poisoning in 3rd Trimester? And it’s back
I am at a loss and this is my last resort. Two weeks ago I got, what I believed to be, food poisoning. (TMI) It started as sulfur burps, progressed to nausea and explosive diarrhea. It was so bad I nearly went to the ER for IV fluids when it finally stopped. No biggie, I’ve been sick before and recovered fine.
Fast forward a week, the sulfur burps were back, soon after all symptoms were back. I went to the emergency room early on because I knew it would get really rough and I worried about dehydration. They gave me zofran, called it heartburn, and sent me on my way. I attempted my doctor and they said “it’s normal for your digestion to slow in pregnancy”.
Well, the sulfur burps are back and I’m crying in bed while I anticipate ANOTHER sleepless night. Im at a loss. I have zofran still so I’ll take it to keep the nausea at bay but it won’t help any of the other symptoms.
This is my 5th baby and I have never experienced this during any of my pregnancies. Has anyone else experienced this? Did you ever get relief? My oldest is in school, my youngest is 1, I can’t lay in bed all day while trying to stay hydrated every week.
(Just want to add the foods I’m eating have no relation to what I’d eaten before that could’ve caused it and nobody else in my house is sick).
Update. Originally posted this Jan 15, I’m up Jan 27, at 11:30pm, with the exact same symptoms.
